Joanne Abrahams is the creative genius behind Coconut Palm Designs... and I am a transplanted Canadian currently living and working and crafting in Belize, Central America.
Joanne has been creating art in one form or another for as long as she can remember but sign making is a newer creative outlet for her Abrahams only started making signs a few years ago when she needed a sign for an ice cream parlour she owned. Then, in 2006, she made a sign for a niece for Christmas and another for her brother and his wife.
Abrahams states, "My absolute favourite thing in my shop is my Butterfly Crossing sign. The whole thing is painted and I am very pleased with how the lettering turned out considering I was using a paintbrush that has about six hairs."
Coconut Palm Designs, in addition to creatings signs, offers AECO's. Joanne refers to her ACEO cards as "little drops of love on paper". (these are essentially Artist's trading cards). Joanne hopes that when people purchase from her shop they will know that her heart and soul goes into each and every piece.
