Sally Mann is hands down my favorite photographer. Her photos have a dream like quality. She used her own children as models for the series I am most familiar with. I was introduced to her work in a photography class I took in my local community college. We developed and printed our own black and white photos the good ole fashioned way. In a darkroom. She has received numerous awards, including NEA, NEH, and Guggenheim Foundation grants, and her work is held by major institutions internationally.
